Independent HOA oversight and financial protection support for boards that want stronger transparency, better vendor accountability, and more disciplined financial decision-making.
ReserveShield was created to help HOA boards make better-informed decisions before approving major vendor contracts, procurement decisions, reserve-related expenditures, or capital projects.
Our role is to provide an independent second set of eyes — focused on transparency, scope clarity, vendor accountability, and financial protection for the association.
ReserveShield brings practical experience from HOA board leadership, construction, estimating, procurement review, vendor evaluation, and business operations.

ReserveShield works for the board and the association’s best interests — not for vendors, management companies, preferred contractor relationships, or outside financial incentives.
ReserveShield was built from firsthand experience working within construction estimating, procurement review, specification writing, project coordination, and HOA board leadership.
Founder Renere Lopez has worked alongside some of the largest general contractors involved in institutional construction projects throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.
His background includes project estimating, specification section writing, laboratory design support, vendor coordination, sales operations, plastering systems, and construction scope analysis across multiple trades and project environments.
That experience — combined with active HOA board leadership — created a clear understanding of the challenges many associations face when reviewing vendor proposals, reserve expenditures, scope comparisons, and major capital projects.
ReserveShield was created to provide HOA boards with an independent second set of eyes focused on transparency, accountability, procurement clarity, and long-term financial protection.
HOA boards are often asked to approve large financial decisions with limited time, inconsistent proposals, or incomplete comparison data.
Small differences in exclusions, assumptions, materials, or service levels can create major cost differences after approval.
Reserve-related spending should be reviewed carefully before commitments are made that may affect long-term financial stability.
Clear documentation, apples-to-apples comparisons, and better board oversight help improve homeowner confidence.
ReserveShield helps HOA boards strengthen financial accountability, improve vendor transparency, and protect community assets before major decisions are made.
